You would use this adapter (USB-A to USB-C) and the charging cable (lightning to USB-A). Plug the USB-C side into the iMac then plug the USB-A (the wall side) of the charging cable into the adapter and then plug cable into the lightning port on the bottom of the iPad like you were charging it.
