Short answer is yes. The cable provides a USB 3.0 connection. However, your Seagate 320GB needs to be formatted as FAT or exFAT for the Mac to recognize the hard drive. It you are coming from a PC, the hard drive is probably formatted as NTFS. Apple doesn't recognize NTFS formatted hard drives. You would need to copy the contents of your Seagate 320 GB to another location on your PC, re-format the Seagate 320 GB as exFAT and then copy the contents back to your Seagate 320 GB hard drive. The good part is once your hard drive is formatted as exFAT you will be able to use it between a PC and Mac to copy files. The bad part is you have to re-format your Seagate 320 GB hard drive. Hope this helps.
