• Yes it can but use Sony recommendations on amperage. The Sony product might need more amps . Look up owner’s manual online or look on broken unit for amp rating . If the apple product heats up in a short time you need a bigger charger like a 2 amp plus unit , which is not this one . The older apple chargers are bigger / amp rating .
