You can use the watch to make phone calls send text messages and receive calls and text messages but your phone Has to be within range I would say 50 to 60 feet or so maybe a little bit more you can use the Find My app on it if you have your daughters phone logged on your Find My I app you can also have her share her location with you and you can view her location on the app BUT remember your phone Hass to be within a certain range of the watch or connected to a Wi-Fi source if you’re away from your phone
