This is the GPS/Wifi version, not cellular. You would have to purchase that model if you want a cellular connection

Generally, the cellular capable version is about $100 more than the version without cellular capabilities. If you purchase the version with cellular, you also have to pay your mobile phone carrier to add cellular service to the watch so that you can make phone calls and stream your Apple music direct from the watch, without your phone being nearby. This generally runs about $10 per month through most cellular carriers (Verizon, ATT, TMobile, etc.). The other features of the watch, including GPS, all work without putting cellular service on it. There is no point in paying the extra $100 unless you plan to add the $10 per month cellular service on it. The watches are the same otherwise. But you can't put the service on the watch without the cellular capability.

Sorry don’t know how much. If you fairly close to your phone you can receive and make texts and calls using this watch. I can be anywhere in my house and still get texts and calls. I think they say 300 ft.

It will require adding a line of service. I believe the cellular connected watches cost anywhere from $50 to $100 more than the Bluetooth watches.
