• No Only if you buy the series 4 with the cellular option you can buy it without it. It’s totally not worth it .

• Only if you buy the watch with the cell option. IN my opinion its not worth it. Had it with the series 3 watch and cancelled it. When I got the series 4 i bought it without the cell phone option

• No. If you have the cellular version of the watch it works just fine without a plan. You only need a plan if you have and want to use it (calls, texting) away from your iPhone.
