A:AnswerBasically gpa you can get your calls etc but your phone has to be within a certain range. Cellular means you can leave your phone at home and go on a 10 mile run or more and still have your watch as a phone
A:AnswerThe difference is with GPS you will need to keep your phone close by in order to get notifications and calls on your watch. ( roughly a 30’ range ) If you decide you want to leave your phone behind and still have the ability to connect you will want the cellular version which will require a monthly fee to your cellular service provider. Great watch, enjoy it.
A:AnswerThe GPS+cellular watch uses your telephone & telephone number for phone calls, texts, etc when you’re connected to your phone via bluetooth and also independently when your phone is out of range. The GPS only version connects via bluetooth and only works when your phone is connected and in range. It works on most cellular networks, but your phone and watch have to use the same network. I have Verizon for both my watch (series 3) and my iPhone, and it costs roughly $10-15 a month through Verizon to use my watch as “another line”. If you don’t want to use your watch independently and pay an additional monthly amount to your service provider, I suggest buying the GPS only version and saving yourself $100. It all depends on how you intend to use your watch.
A:AnswerHi, so I asked the same question when I purshased the watch because I wanted the gold color, not rose gold.
They blended the two colors so it’s a gold with a pink tone to it. But it’s not as rosy as a rose gold. If you wear it with pink it makes it look more pink.
A:AnswerIn order to enable the AT&T option ($10/month) you have to purchase the cellular feature on the watch.
This allows you to use the watch without the phone for calls. The watch will work as a stand alone device IF you purchase the cellular option and then add it to your AT&T service plan for the additional $10/month.
Hope that helps!
Additionally, you don't HAVE to enable with AT&T. I purchased the watch with the cellular feature, but haven't enabled with AT&T, as I typically have the phone with me and the watch on.
A:AnswerThe watch works with all major companies unfortunately it does not work with sister companies such as Metro, Cricket, Boost ,Virgin Mobile etc....
A:AnswerYes, I bought my Apple Watch 4 (with cellular) from Best Buy. I called my carrier, which is Verizon. It cost $30 to activate, and am charged $10 per month for this device.
A:AnswerYes. Selecting the GPS+cellular option is the unlocked version. If you select GPS, there will be no cellular connectivity on its own, and the AT&T or Verizon selections are carrier specific. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerI only paid the fixed term monthly fee to buy the watch. I think the increase in my monthly bill with ATT is $10 to add the extra line to my service. The watch actually has its own phone number.
A:AnswerThe cellular option allows you to receive/ send texts or calls without having your cell phone nearby. You can still receive/ send calls and texts without cellular, however your phone it’s paired with needs to be nearby or within Bluetooth range of each other. I like the cellular option due to not needing my phone when I go on outdoor runs, and I don’t miss a call or text.
A:AnswerYou’d need to take your watch to Verizon and have them connect/sync your phone. You need to purchase the cellular version tho. GPS alone won’t automatically connect as it doesn’t have that extra option.
A:AnswerI purchased my watch 3 weeks ago and I did not have an activation fee. The added line cost $10 more a month AND I got notice last week that I qualified for a $60 bonus to be credited to my account in 3mos! A very pleasant surprise.
