My experience was that the watch was assigned its own number, but it links to the mobile phone number. I did not need to publish the new number for my watch. It seems to be only needed for billing purposes.

Please try again later.With AT&T, the watch will get its own phone number, but ends up utilizing NumberSync which allows your watch to send and receive calls with the same phone number as your cellphone. Once NumberSync is setup the initial phone number for the watch will not work and is only used for identification on your bill.
