• No. My Apple Watch 4 detects when I have a sharp movement that could be a fall without the Cellular functionality.

• No! My husbie just got the GPS 1,, and he can literally do everything with it.. he always has his phone on him, anyway.. So, this was the better watch for him. Getting the GPS 1,, means you HAVE to have your phone in close proximity to you.. w/ the cellular watch.. you can leave your phone at home all day.
