That’s odd because after I posted the question I contacted Apple and they verified the model on sale at Best Buy and all series 5 stainless steel watches have sapphire faces standard.

Yes, the front glass on all stainless steel cases is sapphire crystal. I have this same watch and it’s sapphire crystal front. Best Buy’s specs on this watch is wrong. Apple’s official spec sheet on the website says sapphire as well.

No sapphire glass on this watch as I would of thought it would considering the price. 
This watch (stainless steel) comes as described with the Ion-X strengthened glass.
