• There is a sim version which requires adding a plan of service with your carrier. Then there is a gps version of the watch that works by syncing wirelessly with iPhone. The gps will only work while connected with iPhone. The sim version will work as long as you are paying for service. Also you should be able to switch carriers with no problem.

• The gps has the same features as the cellular version only thing is if you don’t have your phone with you you can use the watch and they add $10 more to your carrier plan
