“What is the difference in this one and the one that says cellular”

This question is for: Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS) 44mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band - Space Gray - (2020)

You can answer your phone and get texts with just GPS also, but your phone needs to be close. If you want to use your watch as a stand-alone piece then you’d want cellular. You also pay an additional monthly fee for cellular.

With the cellular Apple Watch you don’t need your phone. You can receive messages and phone calls without needing your phone.
