If I run without my iPhone will GPS map my run? null

Yes. If you select an OUTDOOR RUN, it will track where you go and for how long. Once you return to your watch, you can see all those details from the Fitness app. You can see a condensed version of the same data on your watch as well.

This particular watch is GPS/Cellular. If you activate the Cellular, then you can not only use the GPS, but you can also make calls and not be there'd to your phone. I use applications (Strava) and I'm able to leave my phone at home while running with my watch.
