“When i was buying the watch it gave the option for verizon, at&t, gps, and unlcoked. will i not be able to use my watch to make calls with the carrier i have on my phone or will i have to get the unlocked version?”

What carrier do you have? Usually, you can call your cell carrier and see what they suggest. They should have a certain carrier that would work, or go with Unlocked and add it to your plan yourself. Should just be a 10-15 dollar upcharge per month.
