It can detect some types of afib via its ECG feature, but you need to manually run the ECG in order for it to detect a fib event. The built in heart rate monitor, however, can detect unusually elevated or lowered heart rate - which can be a sign that you should use the ECG. It definitely cannot detect blood sugar levels.
