Can the face be changed on this watch null

Yes. A large number of Apple faces are available. Once loaded on the watch from the paired phone you can easily change watch faces by dragging right or left with your finger.

I believe not but you can on the phone and is much better view that ways.

In the Watch app there are several choices of Watch faces and complications you can choose to customize the Watch face.
