• Either one as long as it shows up in the system as under AppleCare coverage you can see it in the app under AppleCare support or calling apple directly

• If you bought your apple product at Best Buy, I’d return it to where you bought it. If it’s damaged and you have AppleCare for it, apple will replace it.
