AppleCare should be associated with your HomePod as soon as the purchase is completed. I had an issue with mine where AppleCare wasn’t showing and it kept saying I was under Apple’s limited warranty. If you call Apple, they’ll ask for the AppleCare serial number; which can’t be found anywhere on the digital receipts (email or website); so you will have to go to Best Buy and have them print out a different receipt with the serial number. In my case, the associates at the store figured it would be easier to return the Home Pod and re-ring the sale. After they did this, Apple Care showed up in the Apple Support App literally seconds after they completed the transaction. ...so if your Apple Care isn’t showing right away, I’d suggest visiting a local Best Buy - the store rep will probably tell you that Apple Care shows on your receipt (which is true); but have him/her ask a Geek Squad person check their Apple system and they’ll realize that Apple Care and the HomePod aren’t linked; easiest solution will be to return/re-ring the HomePad w/Apple Care. I’ve never had this issue with Apple Care, so it was an interesting learning experience.
