    • Answer No, you don’t need the app for basic use – the scale will still turn on and show your weight on the display. However, to use all of the functions of this 8-electrode body composition scale (full body-composition metrics, multiple user profiles, trend charts, data history, and syncing with your phone), you do need to download and connect the arboleaf app via Bluetooth.
