- Answer In my experience, the activation is pretty quick. Any delay is a second or less. Now, if you have the activation area on the camera set to only certain parts of the camera area, it may miss movement if it is too narrow. However, I have not experienced any issues with activation quickly once movement is detected. If you are missing something, it MAY be due to a repeat detection being blocked due to rapid reactivation. Most cameras have a time delay between activations to prevent false detection from things like wind blowing bushes/trees.

QuestionDo these cameras have the option to be hard wired? Living in MN w harsh winters those batteries would be lucky to last 2 weeks. Dont feel like getting up on a ladder to change batteries in February or January.

- Answer To hardwire and keep it connected to a power source, you can use the 25 ft. Essential Outdoor Charging Cable (sold separately). Alternatively, you may also consider a compatible Arlo Solar Panel.

- Answer Initial setup requires 2.4 Ghz wifi. I am not sure if it can use 5 Ghz wifi after initial setup. (I have Xfinity Wifi and had to change the settings on my Wifi from automatic use of 2.4 GHZ or 5 Ghz Wifi to using two separate 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz Wifi channels in order to get my Wifi to detect the cameras.)

- Answer The number of cameras supported on your Arlo account is unlimited with or without an Arlo Secure plan. While you may add an unlimited number of cameras to your Arlo account, you must also meet minimum requirements with bandwidth use measured on a per-camera basis. You can live stream up to fifteen (15) Arlo cameras at the same time on the Arlo Secure App or five (5) on my.arlo.com, depending on your system setup.
