“I bought the 4 pack pro 3 cameras. Got home and no smart hub. Do I need to buy smart hub? Do I need smart hub or base? Same thing? Where can I get just that part? The camera model is VMC2430”

If you have the camera model VMC2430 then you have the Arlo Essential Spotlight cameras which don't require an Arlo SmartHub for them to work. They can connect to your router's wifi network directly. Please refer to the quick start up guide that it comes with for steps on how to install the cameras.
