• Yes the solar panel works. No a hub is not required it can use Wi-Fi as well as the hub.

• No hub required with the XL but it won’t do 4K without one…

• Both essentials use the same charger, so the solar panel works if it's for the essentials series No hub is required but if you do have one, I would recommend all cameras on the same hub. That way, you'll have all cameras on one app Good luck
