Depends on number of cameras, quality of recording you want and duration. The arlo app is pretty easy and it’s like 14.99 for unlimited cams with HD recording. It’s not bad.

The camera comes with 3 months free trial to Arlo Smart. Once the trial plan is expired, you may get the Arlo Smart Premier plan that goes for $9.99 per month for up to 5 cameras. ^RM

Yes there is a subscription fee which unfortunately I did not read carefully before purchasing the camera. The fee varies based on the number of cameras you purchased.
