I put my Arlo on it's own network isolated with only internet access and also firewall it off with a Netscreen firewall. Ports 80 (http), 443 (https) and 123 (NTP) need to be open to arlo.netgear.com. Since that address may dynamically change due to DNS and/or load sharing, the specific IP address would likely be useless. Arlo uses Amazon's AWS servers around the world. https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo/Internet-Connection-through-proxy-OR-firewall/m-p/1201507#M26999
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your router is newer than a hundred years old, it will have a firewall built in. I'm not sure how the Arlo "Homebase" is protected, but it's made by Netgear so they should be pretty good at it by now.
