“Does motion detection work through a window? The VueZone system does not, so I thought I would ask about the Arlo system.”

• No, the motion detection does not work through a window, and because the infrared lights reflect off of the glass it does not allow you to operate the camera at Night while trying to use it through a window. All you see is a reflection of the infrared light on the camera and it makes it useless if you try to use it through a window

• Depends mostly on the back light of the window, how clean it is, and the angle at which the camera faces the glass in the window. With adjusting these three I had great success using through a window

• When I tried this the motion sensor did not work through glass. I had to place the Arlo camera outside.

• the camera detects motion based on the sensitivity you set. if there's a clear view through the window and the camera setting is high enough, then it will detect the motion outside the window

• Yes but you have to angle it for it to work at night
