• Yes they work with Smartthings wonderfully. I have all my 10 cameras connected. I can program Smartthings to have them turn on when I am away and off when I am home to minimize battery usage. It's even better than Arlo's own app.

• These have a base station that they must link up to in order to work. They are also controlled by the separate Arlo app. These are really nice cams...they have a slight delay when initially recording, but I think they do a good job.
