For what it’s worth, I Purchased the Arlo essential spotlight camera kit, which has two cameras. I found it is useless without paying for the monthly subscription to “Arlo smart“. However the Arlo tech told me I could instead purchase the VMB 4540 which you were asking about. When I asked him how many cameras it would handle, his response was “if you purchase a hub, there is no limit on how many cameras it can handle. But one hub or base station allows up to five cameras to live stream at the same time”. I guess that’s the information you’re looking for, assuming he’s correct, you should be good to go with your 5 cameras. Good luck.
