• It is both rechargeable and plug in wall adapter. It is motion or/and audio triggered for the camera to turn on and the floodlight to turn on.

• Yes, the camera is battery operated but can also be wired directly to power or be connected to an Arlo Solar Panel. Also, when mode is set to "Armed", camera detects motion and records the video. You may also view live whenever needed. ^RM
