I had similar problems and tried much as you did to resolve and finally had to replace the modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine was new and was replacing the rental modem. I have Comcast/Xfinity. After complaining about lack of assistance from the online agent, I rec'd an email asking me to elaborate. After all of that, it started working. My guess is that they were not feeding my modem enough signal.
