Depends on your internet cabling outside your place not the modem necessarily. If you have fiber, you might get up to 200Mbps. If you have old copper wire (like I did for Uverse) it's gonna run in single digits. I was usually getting less than 3 Mbps. With this unit I get 200Mbps within the house on the wifi, outside to the WWW I get 18Mbps using the WOW network. It's based on the slowest part of your individual network setup.

You will be constrained by the whatever is your slowest link: your actual internet network, this modem, the wifi signal if you go that way or any extenders. If I look at the wifi only, I am hitting 200Mbps inside the house. On my feed from outside the house I get 18 Mbps using a third party independent speed test.
