• It should work if your voice line is activated.Online activation is just to get the internet going but you still need to call your ISP provider to get them activated. Hope this helps.

• No, FAX typically uses analog networks to communicate so you won't be able to use your FAX machine with this modem since it is designed for digital VOIP service. you can, however, use a 3rd party adapter that let you use your fax machine over the VOIP signals
