I just replaced the Comcast equipment with this and it works great with no issues and setup is just a few minutes and 90% of that is getting the modem registered with Comcast.

It's not a combo modem like the one from Comcast so you'd also have to buy a router as well. It will pay for itself in the long run and I'm happy I bought it. I returned all of our equipment and just switched to their highest internet package for my family to use and this device handles the multiple devices we've thrown at it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Comcast in Chicago and the Motorola - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem - Silver works great as a replacement. This will not work with the Triple Play if you use the phone service, however.

These were both updates to previous Motorola modem and DLink router which we had been using for several years. I did find recommendations somewhere online to avoid a combo unit.
