This is a cable modem. That is - if you get internet from your cable tv provider. Windstream is a telephone company that provides DSL internet service over the telephone line. You need a DSL modem. So... no - this won’t work with windstream

And you should also check your isp's approved modem list to insure it will work with there internet, if you see other older model arris modems on the list it's safe to say it will work they just haven't updated the list recently.
