But you must understand that if you have any problems and need technical support Cox probably won't be able to help you because they only support their own equipment. You would have to call Arris. The same would hold true if you buy a router from someone other than Cox. That’s what I must do with my internet provider. Blue Ridge Cable only offers support into my home because I purchased my own modem and router. If you don't like calling companies like Arris and Linksys if you have problems than your better off using Cox’s equipment so they can offer technical support.
