• Hi Chris I am not sure if you can disable Nat, but I tell you what it has worked great, I have no problems with it and it has been a good investment instead of renting from comcast or any other Internet provider.

• My IT guy did tell me these are easy to recode and configure however you'd like. I personally don't know how to do that, but I do trust his expertise on that.

• I think it only does routing if there is no internet connection. Otherwise its a direct WAN connection.

• Hi Chris, the NAT on the Surfboard 3.0 modem is hard coded. The only thing that can really be done is rebooting it or doing a factor reset. There is nothing else that can be changed. Rick

• Huh... what is NAT? I wish I could disable the annoying blue indicator light. If anyone tells you how to disable NAT, I think I'll try it and see if the light goes out.

• I would do this: purchase a wifi router (if you're wanting to use wifi; if not, then a router of some sort), connect that device to this cable modem via ethernet, and that router will be your NAT (and firewall). That way, the internet provider can't see what devices are attached to their cable modem--just the router (not to mention potential intruders).

• NAT is router based. This is a modem and has no routing/switching/NAT functionality. A router would connect to this device

• NAT is done at the firewall or router level, so there is no NAT to disable on the SB6141.
