• Yes, this modem will work with 1 Gb speed plans. However, it is not capable of achieving 1 Gbps download speeds so you will need to purchase a DOCSIS 3.1 modem for that. The models that are compatible with 1 Gb service are: SB8200, S33 - note these modems don't have built-in Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi modems that are compatible are SBG8300, G36. Hope this helps.
