This modem is only able to provide you Internet access, not voice service. You would have to get one of the voice capable modems to get voice service.

For this unit... NO! Comcast has explained that this unit is non compatible for their phone service. Not my happiest discovery after the expense of the unit. I will say that i kept it anyway due to its incredible speed for multiple devices. Hope this helps... maybe they will change soon and incorporate this unit into the phone service.

I would get a MagicJack, pay about $20/YEAR for phone service and keep only the Comcast Internet.

Yes! I do and use a Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router (R8000) for wifi.

Call your ISP and ask them directly... They are the only ones who can for sure confirm compatibility...

No, this modem doesn't have phone line to be connected. But it worth to go to doubleplay at the end of your promotional period. You going to save like $10 monthly.
