Should be....a router is a router. Currently using the Arris SURFboard 600 with the NETGEAR Wireless-AC Dual-Band Gigabit Router R6400 with no issues.

Yes any router will work with any modem

This is compatible with most routers, you just have to install the router again

Definitely. Since the modem does not have a router built in, the Netgear (or any other router you happen to get) will handle all of the shared connectivity...
