Do I need a router with this? null

I use a router, but would suggest you check with your internet provider before purchasing one. Their techs could answer that for you and walk you through installation.

Hi Sylvia, Yes SB6183 is a cable modem only, you would need an additional WiFI router with this (TIP: -Most of the Arris SURFboard Gateways's ( with wireless capabilities) model number start with SBG whereas for cable modems it starts from SB, for eg: - SBG8300 is a gateway whereas SB6183 is only a cable modem)
