“Can I use a different cord than it comes with to plug into the headset and controller?”

• Yes you can but make sure its works with the headset. Caues it looks wireless but it isnt but you can get a seperaate 3.5mm to the headset to USB to the computer and the headset will know no difference.

• Yes but it should have 4 black rings on the tip.
