The PS4 version does not in any way support Atmos as the PS4 itself does not. The Xbox version does and comes with a Dolby 2 year subscription.

Yes, just switch it to stereo mode instead of Dolby Digital. It’s the button under the power button

If you have the base station on Dolby audio it's converting to Dolby, even if you don't have the driver installed on your computer

Yes it does. I have both a playatstion and an Xbox. I purchased the Playstation version with the an xbox dock. The extra dock can be purchased from Astro directly for $100. It comes with the one year atmos code.
