Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They claim new 40mm drivers, redesigned acoustic chamber, a new radio for more stable connection and better range, upgraded mic, improvements to the frame to increase overall durability, improved battery for the same 15+ hours of life but reduced weight and a redesigned base station for easier charging. The new one also supposrts Dolby Atmos where the old one does not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, The audio is the big difference. New speakers and sound profile are the biggest improvements along with utilizing 2.4gz over its 5Gz. The switch helps connectivity in your home so you never disconnect from the base station. The new A50 has been tested at 40FT with no connectivity issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Basically a new and improved base station that isn’t supposed to have issues charging. No more 7.1 surround sound, replaced by Dolby Atmos and new color but pretty much the same look, feel and design of the previous generations. Also, some new V2 tuning that supposed to make them sound better but I really don’t know if they are better or worse then the gen 3s or even the gen ones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Old Gen 3 had a interference with 5.8 wifi since they were on the same frequency. Now with this one you should have fewer interference problems, Along with the updated drivers and the Version 2 audio Astro is putting in this headset after teaming up with Logitech. One more difference is that the base station on the Gen 4 coming out is much smaller and displays more information needed while playing on it as well. Other than that it is the same headset as before.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Updated driver in the headset astro is now owned by logitech so they worked together on this one the mic has been improved also the design remade with this headset being 2.4ghz so they dont intervene with the audio while playing a game. This headset also is tuned for processing like windows sonic and dolby atmos
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.there is a upgraded sound system along with upgraded Dolby surround sound and drivers. also a new look
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had gen 3 and it dropped sound often enough to be frustrated. The base station is chunkier in gen 3 and the headset colors are different. As far as quality, both the same . Gen 4 has a sleeker color and base station. 2.4 was not noticeable . Sadly I ended returning both for something less pricey for same results.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gen 4 has better drivers for the headset, better boards, and firmware, better wireless connectivity and it is not the annoying Lime Green color. =)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m guessing the newer version is better then old one
