“Does ASUS lock the UEFI BIOS so only Windows can be installed on this laptop? I bought an ASUS VivoBook Flip 12 Model No: TP202NA-OB04T and I could NOT install Linux on it because ASUS locked the UEFI BIOS. ASUS did not advertise this fact at all. Bad.”

You will need to disable Secure Boot, and enable Launch CSM to install other operating systems.
