Does come from factory with 10s (safe mode) but can easily be upgraded with win 10 to put programs on. Program to do it is installed on computer.

One for myself and one for my daughter who is in college. She wanted a computer to take to class with her to take notes. She immediately called me and said she could only download things from the Windows store. I hadn't even opened my box yet. So I opened it and sure enough it was Windows S. So I walked her through how to upgrade to Windows 10 (yes I call it an upgrade). It's very simple and takes minutes. The process is given to you when you try and download something that is now in the store. In her case, she tried to download Google Chrome. But we were easily able to upgrade to Windows 10. Haven't had any issues.
