In my opinion Chromebooks in general are better for everyone doing basic tasks (including senior citizens); they have built-in virus protection and are much more secure than a Windows laptop - great for browsing the internet, checking email, watching Netfilx, and using the included Google Docs and Sheets (comparable to Word and Excel). They are easy to use, different in some ways than Windows, but the same in a lot of other ways. The batteries in these also last much longer than a Windows PC. Keep in mind with a Chromebook to fully utilize it, it requires an internet connection (doesn't work well off-line). I have not done much with games, but I know there are a ton available through the Google Play store (same games available for Android devices).
