- Answer Most of these new Thin laptops forgo CD/DVD drives for more battery or other features and thinner/ lighter design these days. However, you can always buy an external CD/DVD drive and plug it into one of the side ports.

- Answer It can be customized to a limited degree. Only one color at a time. You can chose steady, strobe, breathing, switching between colors or off. You can also choose the speed this happens.

- Answer This was the exact model that came in the laptop so I ordered it on Amazon here to add and make it 16GB https://amzn.to/36lo72F And SODIMM stands for "A SO-DIMM, SODIMM, or small outline dual in-line memory module, is a type of computer memory built using integrated circuits. SO-DIMMs are a smaller alternative to a DIMM, being roughly half the size of regular DIMMs." Basically they are have the length of desktop ram, used in Laptops...

QuestionI wish to augment the internal drive with another SSD. I read some about SATA's. (both solid state & traditional spinning hard drives) I am new to laptops & formats, so could you please let me know what will work. I don't want spinning drives anymore.

- Answer I just got off the phone with Asus and the rep told me it had only one M.2 slot so if adding an additional hard drive it must be a 2.5. You can add up to an additional 512 GB putting your total at roughly 1 TB. The previous answer by Asus here makes it sound like you can add another M.2. I do not think the motherboard has two M.2 interfaces but rather 1 M.2 which houses the 512 that it comes with and another 2.5 slot for an SSD but not an M.2
