• This monitor communicates via USB and should work with the Surface Pro as long as you have a full size USB available.

• Yes, I am using it right now with my Surface Pro 4. Since it uses the only USB port available on the Surface Pro 4, I got a powered USB 3.0 hub, which allows me to connect a card reader, or whatever else I need while using the portable monitor.
