Most games at 1080p don't require more than 3GB of dedicated video memory but that can change in the future. Keep in mind, this is a 1080p screen on the laptop. Only game I'd even push close to that limit was GTA5 because I played on a desktop in 2K with literally every setting maxed out and that's not even necessary. If no game you play uses more than 3GB memory, you'll never notice the difference between 3GB and 6GB Memory. Regardless of memory, a GTX1060 is a GTX1060 with same clock speeds, delivering the same FPS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They should both be capable of handling Witcher 3, but more memory means higher graphics capacity. So the one with 6gb would render better in higher definition than the 3gb version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it would be capable. just not AS capable as the 6GB variant. i'll tell you what i tell every1 else. never get a 1060 3GB. only the 6GB one, the full one. why settle on half of a GPU. this stripped down 1060 shouldnt even exist. thats exactly why Nvidia themselves don't offer the 3GB 1060.
