The soft touch material is everywhere on the bottom part of the laptop where your hands would rest if you're typing. The brushed aluminum is what you'd feel when the laptop is closed and you're touching the top of it. The ROG logo lights up red. It's colored plastic that lets light pass through from your screen, so depending on how bright your screen is at the time, the logo will change brightness. Kinda like the apple logo on macbooks.
