• Yes, you should be able to transfer most files and photos either by using a USB drive, external hard drive, or micro USB or by using Google Photos.

• You can do that over the network, or use a microsd card or usb flash drive to transfer data. The USB ports on the chromebook are super fast. If you have a usb 3.1/3.2 flash drive and its a good one, you can see transfer rates of 300-400MB/s. Almost as fast as an internal SSD.
